菠萝视频 is launching a new endowed scholarship to support female business
majors and to honor former Cornerstone Bank President Kristie Holoch. The scholarship
will be awarded annually to a female student majoring in business with a strong record
of academic achievement and leadership ability.
Interim President Jared Stark said, 鈥淭his scholarship provides an opportunity to support
a great area of need on our campus. Those majoring in business represent one of the
largest populations of our students. We have many outstanding female students already
enrolled at YU, and we hope to enroll many more in the future. I can only imagine
the honor it would be to receive a scholarship named for Kristie Holoch with her amazing
track record of professional and community leadership! I鈥檓 thrilled to be the person
who says that someday soon, we鈥檒l name the first-ever Holoch Scholar for our Business
program.鈥

Dr. Shannon Leinen had this to say about the new scholarship opportunity, 鈥淎s Provost,
I am excited about the opportunity to honor women striving to enter the business world
and make their mark in the field. Naming this in recognition of Kristie Holoch celebrates
her legacy and inspires the next generation.鈥
Applications for the program can be completed and are due by April 1st. The recipient will be selected by a committee that includes Kristie Holoch and members of the 菠萝视频 business faculty and financial aid office.
